'Simi’s core interest is in Dispute Resolution and Commercial Law, and he brings this to bear in his engagement in the Litigation and Commercial practice of the Firm. He is very intentional in drafting and Court advocacy.
'Simi has advised on and drafted several Agreements including Service Contracts and Executive Shareholders Agreements for the Senior Management Team of a new-generation Lithuanian bank headed by a team of Nigerians; Partnership & Technical Executive Service Contracts, Aircraft Management Agreements, etc.
He was also part of a team led by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria that successfully defended an indigenous Oil & Gas Company in a Winding Up Proceedings instituted in Court by a Bank, which wrongfully claimed an alleged indebtedness against the Company. The team succeeded in getting the matter struck out of Court.
He has advised on Arbitration proceedings for a Company headquartered in Senegal against a Company headquartered in Dubai, UAE over a contractual dispute worth over $1M. He has also been actively involved in ADR sessions at the Lagos Multi-door Courthouse.
'Simi graduated from the University of Northampton and has an LLM in Tax Law from Queen Mary, University of London and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
